I can connect my pc to a wifi network at my house without problem; but at my university, I can’t. The wifi of my university have a security of type WPA2 : Enterprise.
Many people on the net say it is because of driver conflict, bla bla that I don’t understand that much. Some told to downgrade my wifi driver and i did and it work !!!!
- I have Windows 8 professional. My wifi card is Atheros AR9485WB-EG. I have downloaded version 9.2.0.474 from atheros . (Open this link and ask browser to find the version 9.2.0.474 from the page).
- After download the file, extract it to a folder X.
- Open device manager in Windows 8, update wifi driver (1) Search for driver on my pc, (2) Choose among a list ….(3) Click have disk
- and point to folder X.
Reconnect your wifi, it would work now. Sometime later, Windows will update driver to other version that will not work, (4) open wifi driver property, (5) driver tab (6) click Roll back driver.

Yes. Windows 8 will not work with WPA encryption. tried it without pass key , it worked. I am going to put WEP to see the result. Nothing to do with the driver as mentioned above.. thanks guys
